Few things are better than ByHours microstays … and among them are summer beach bars aka ´chiringuitos!
We bring you a list of our favorite chiringuitos in Catalonia, from Barcelona to the Costa Brava. Prepare your beer mug, the towel and let´s go to the beach!
Hola Beach Club (Sitges)
If you are looking for a chiringuito with a great atmosphere in a spectacular landscape, on the wild beach Cap de Grills you will find the Hola Beach Club. It is a unique space only about 15 minutes’ walk from Sitges but surrounded by nature you will feel far away. On Sundays they have DJs creating a fun , where you can dance and dance until sunset.
El Barracuda (Castelldefels)
If you live in Barcelona and want to enjoy a high quality chiringuito experience, you do not have to go far. In Castelldefels you can find the Barracuda, a spectacular restaurant with a terrace / chiringuito where you can enjoy views of the beach, organic food, delicious rice and sea food dishes and, above all, a unique atmosphere.
Chiringuito Mar Azul (Tossa de Mar)
Everything you can ask for at a beach bar: Premium fish and beach atmosphere near the water. The fish is as fresh as it gets, and you can choose it yourself. You can park at the campsite and walk down easily.
Chiringuito Mar I Vent (Aiguablava, Begur)
This hidden gem is part of the summer offer from the restaurant Parador Mar i Vent. A unique experience in a paradisiacal cove in Aiguablava. Enjoy the gastronomic influence of chef Javier de las Muelas in the most magical setting of the Costa Brava.
Chiringuito Cala Pedrosa (Palafrugell)
The most undiscovered chiringuito in Catalonia? Normally, getting to a beach bar is in itself an adventure. But if we tell you that reaching the beach bar of Cala Pedrosa is easier by sea, than by land, you will get an idea of what is hidden in this corner. A few friends who run the bar together have to bring coca-cola, beers and everything they serve with cart for half an hour on dirt mountain roads. There are no roads or towns close by. Its popular with hikers who stumble upon it while walking the Ronda de Catalunya down the coast and use the chiringuito for freshening up and resting. Absolutely unique!
Be Water (Cabrera de Mar)
Are you looking for a more “Ibiza-esque” experience? In the heart of Maresme, just 30 minutes from Barcelona (if traffic jams allow it) you can enjoy the Be Water Beach Club, which can easy rival the best beach bars in the Balearic Islands. Great music, cocktails, atmosphere, and beautiful people for a unique chill-out chiringuito experience. The best thing? It´s open all year long.
Now you know, this summer you will not run out of beaches, beach bars, or hotels!
