BYHOURS

Spend a few hours in Italy’s top 5 cities

Rome

Apart from the great tourist attractions and food, Italy hides unique places in every city. At BYHOURS we love this country because it is a safe bet for improvised escapes. Here we leave you our perfect combinations to discover the best cities in Italy with our microstays:

Rome

All the historical monuments are a MUST, but our favourite and the lesser-known spot is Aventine Keyhole. It’s a small viewpoint situated just a few minutes from the centre. Through the keyhole of the Knights of Malta property, you can see St. Peter’s Basilica. It’s located between the residential neighbourhood of Testaccio and the Circus Maximus and is one of our favourite free attractions.

To round off the day by wandering the historic streets of Vatican City or discovering the historical centre, the NH Collection Roma Palazzo Cinquecento hotel is the best choice for a 24-hour package and a pleasant stay.

Florence

This city could not be missing from our list since, even if it was only for five years, in 1.865, Florence was the capital of Italy. Our favourite spot is the Bardini Gardens, located near the Boboli Gardens of the Pitti Palace but with the advantage of being less frequented. The Bardini has no more and no less than four hectares of woods, cypress trees, gardens, and fruit orchards, where you can take a romantic stroll with your partner. Speaking of romanticism, the Hotel Cellai Florence is one of those that follow this aesthetic and, takes care of all the details of its facilities. How about taking a break with the 3-hour package and having a glass of wine on the terrace?

Venice

We’ll never tire of admiring the charm of the flooded streets of the city of Venice. The perfect plan is to get lost in its lanes and canals. That’s how, we found La Scala Contarini del Bovolo, one of the most beautiful and best-preserved Renaissance staircases in Venice. Beautiful, isn’t it? At the foot of the canals, there is also a hotel with privileged views, the Hotel Canal Grande. Having breakfast on its terrace overlooking the canal, watching the gondolas go by, is something you have to enjoy once in a lifetime (at least).

Verona

In the north of Italy, we find the famous city of Romeo and Juliet, where you can breathe a medieval and romantic atmosphere in every corner. In Verona, unlike the other cities, we’d like to propose a plan that may seem very typical but is still something: a visit to Juliet’s house. We love its walls full of letters and love notes. Make your wish, honour your love, and who knows, maybe you’ll find a letter from your secret lover among the multitude of declarations. After enjoying the sunset from the Arena di Verona, we recommend the Montresor Hotel Palace, one of the most central yet comfortable hotels to rest after a long day.

Milan

With BYHOURS you can experience Milan differently. We introduce you to The Corner Duomo Hotel where spending 24 hours will be an unforgettable experience. Located 0.7 km from the luxury shopping street Via Monte Napoleone. Set within walking distance of the Piazza del Duomo and with panoramic views. The “jewel in the crown” of this hotel are its two Suites with an in-room spa and a round bed. Perfect to rest, unwind and relax after a day of shopping in the city centre.

We understand, a 3-hour package doesn’t seem like much, but this hotel deserves all 24 hours to enjoy it to the fullest.
