The best week of the year with the BLACK HOURS

BLACK-HOURS-BYHOURS

The end of November has come and with it two words that have revolutionized shopping around the world: BLACK FRIDAY. Without a doubt, the model of society in which we live has made us create a certain addiction to this day, (because initially it was just one day of discounts), and to take full advantage of the discounts before the Christmas season, but at BYHOURS we wanted to turn it around and make it your best BLACK HOURS of the year! But first we’re going to tell you a little bit of the history of this phenomenon.

Just like Halloween, this is another American “tradition” that we’ve brought to our countries, and although we’ve only been celebrating it for a few years, – in Spain it began in 2012 -, even if
we believe that this will be a lifelong habit. It originated in order to make Christmas shopping more bearable for the American population, so that they could save and in nature buy more things at a lower price.

In Latin America it’s not officially celebrated under the name of ‘BLACK FRIDAY’, but it’s not left behind. For example, in Mexico they have their own version, which they call ‘El Buen Fin’. The Mexicans promoted this event in 2011, with the aim of satisfying the consumption needs of the population and not as an event related to Christmas shopping.

BLACK HOURS: discounts for your microholidays

The restrictions in which the vast majority of the world’s citizens live mean that we cannot enjoy travel and leisure as we used to. But who said that it’s not possible to enjoy in one’s own city? The BYHOURS microholidays, of which we have already told you so much, are the success of these months, in which the limitations are great. There are many users who have already been able to experience a microstay in one of the city’s top hotels. A local leisure activity that we didn’t consider before, because we thought that ‘hotels are only for tourists’.

So, in BYHOURS we’ve prepared the BLACK HOURS to make it even easier to enjoy as many times as you want some well-deserved microholidays. How? From 25th to 30th November, every day you’ll have discounts depending on the pack of 3, 6 or 24 hours you choose. BLACK HOURS surprises for everyone, with more than 3.500 hotels around the world. So that wherever you are, you can book your microstay at the best price.

Every day we will announce on our social networks the discounts. But if you want to find out before anyone else, subscribe to our newsletter on the BYHOURS website and you will be the first to book. Availability is running out and so are the BLACK HOURS!

Medellín

It is the second most important city in Colombia, and in recent years has established itself as one of the best getaway destinations nationwide. The city of Medellin is surrounded by hills that you can climb with the metrocable and enjoy a beautiful panoramic view of the entire city. As a recommendation, we suggest you visit the Comuna 13 either on your own or with a free tour with which you can also learn about its history.

Bogotá

Located at 2600 meters above sea level, it is the largest and most important city in Colombia. In Bogotá there are many things to do, but if we had to recommend something, we suggest visiting the central neighborhoods of La Macarena and La Candelaria where you can see the famous bullring La Santamaria, the National Museum and a wide range of bars and restaurants where you can try the local cuisine.

And if you need a break, we have a wide range of hotels, such as the Rosales Plaza Hotel, located in the Rosales neighborhood, where you can book your 3, 6 or 24 hour microstay.

Cartagena

It is the most touristic city of Colombia, due to its impressive beaches and its surrounding islands like Rosario Island, so it is a perfect destination to rest. If you don’t have that much time, we propose you to visit its historical center and what is called the “Old City”, a walled city full of colonial buildings founded in 1533.

Santa Marta

It has the particularity of being the oldest city in Colombia, founded in 1525. As a major attraction, you can find the Tayrona National Natural Park, a combination of jungle, beach and sea, which you can tour and discover the indigenous culture of the region.

Bucaramanga

It is considered the adventure destination par excellence in Colombia, since it is located near San Gil, where you can enjoy extreme sports such as kayaking, rafting, paragliding, etc. If adrenaline is not your thing, the city of Bucaramanga is also known as the ”city of parks” for its more than 220 parks where you can take a pleasant walk.

Captura de Pantalla 2022-07-20 a las 11.25.23 a. m.

Hotel hours combine with many plans, but our winning combination is with a good terrace and views of the city (because everything tastes better from the heights). For all sorts of occasions, it’s always a good idea to go up to the top floor of a hotel to watch the sunset, disconnect and live a very unique experience.

BYHOURS has made a selection of our TOP hotels with the best terraces and privileged views of the cities, so that you don’t have to do more than choose a hotel and make a reservation. Have a look and take your partner, friends or family to spend a few hours in a hotel.

Security and hotel hours go hand in hand

Axa insurance and BYHOURS
insurance

AXA and BYHOURS have partnered to provide exclusive emergency medical and travel services to all its policyholders, offering them comfort in critical moments.

With this new agreement AXA, the French multinational company, offers to its insureds travel assistance for cancellations, delays, flight changes, medical travel and emergency surgery, and provides hotel hours through BYHOURS.  In order to obtain additional benefits, the multinational insurer has achieved an innovative leadership and personalization of the service, gaining a competitive advantage in the sector.

In this way, the insurance company AXA will offer unbeatable coverage guarantees, taking its response to its clients’ emergencies to another level. With this union, situations such as a canceled flight and at the expense of a new one, a delay or change of schedule, as well as a medical emergency for oneself or a family member and/or companion on the trip, will be covered with micro-stays provided by BYHOURS.

All of this is possible thanks to the global status of BYHOURS. With the company’s international hotel hours guarantees, the large international insurer can make this service a reality in more than 25 countries and in more than 4,000 hotels.

BYHOURS’ guarantee lies in its formula for success: experience and innovation. The company’s business model, which is based on pay-per-use, has been on the market for 10 years and is revolutionizing the hospitality sector. This concept is fully in line with the value proposition of the insurance company AXA, which offers a personalized service tailored to the needs of each policyholder.

This alliance is a step further for both international companies. While BYHOURS consolidates its leadership and product in multiple traveler use cases, AXA positions itself as the first insurer to offer an innovative solution 100% adapted to the customer.

The global agreement will be in place from X, with its starting point from AXA’s headquarters in Mexico, where BYHOURS has an office with more than 12 employees for Latin America and the exit to the USA.

Did you know that it used to belong to a former banking institution and is very recognizable in CDMX for its art deco design in light yellow tones? It also has an elegant outdoor terrace, perfect for enjoying a nice drink with friends after a long day.

And on top of that, it is located a few meters from the National Palace of Mexico, the Palace of Fine Arts, the Museum of Mexico City, the luxurious Palacio de Hierro shopping mall, the Bankers Club of Mexico, Casinos and many more.
